We started in 1999 on a quiet hill in the Green Mountains in Northern Vermont. The aurora borealis often lit up the winter sky over the farm, hence our name. In 2004, we moved to Rappahannock County, Virginia, a tranquil, historic area that sprawls along the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Located in a region where Civil War encampments and battlefields still mark the terrain, the farm was first established in 1870 by a Confederate cavalry trooper who survived the war and came home to raise his family here. His passion was horses, and so is ours. We are proud to honor that tradition by breeding and raising beautiful, athletic, good-minded purebred Arabian horses who define for us all that a horse should be.
